Brewing the Perfect Cup of Coffee
Use Fresh-Roasted Coffee Beans
For the perfect cup of coffee, we recommend buying fresh coffee beans as often as required. Remember to store all coffee in an airtight container. Never stock pile coffee beans and never store in the refrigerator or freezer.
Use Fresh Water
Water is a key ingredient to making good coffee. Ideally good filtered or bottled water is best. Freshly drawn, cold tap water is fine. It’s important to always use cold water. Cold water has more oxygen in it and that is what helps release the fabulous coffee flavour. Never use hot water to make coffee or you’ll end up with a disappointing, flat-tasting brew.
Use the Correct Amount of Coffee
We recommend using one to two tablespoons of ground coffee for each eight ounces of water. Adjust the quantity to your taste.
Use the Correct Grind
Each brewing method requires its own grind. Medium for an automatic drip, coarse for French press and fine for espresso.
Remove Coffee from the Burner
Transfer your freshly-brewed coffee to an insulated air pot, thermal server, or carafe. This will ensure your coffee remains hot longer, while maintaining its rich aroma and fresh taste.
