Immerse yourself in the Boreal Forest

We are so excited to be the exclusive carrier of Boreal Wildcraft’s line of essential oil. All essential oils are distilled in the most pristine conditions using wildcrafted, handpicked plants from the Boreal forest. If there was ever a season to begin using or expanding your essential oil collection, now is the time! The beginning of fall and promise of winter is the perfect season to experiment with the many benefits essential oils offer.

Most essential oils are created through the distillation process. Freshly harvested plants are suspended over boiling water where steam pulls the oil out of the plant and this infused steam is then collected. As the steam cools, it condenses back into water. Because water and essential oils do not mix, they then separate and the pure essential oil is collected. Boreal Wildcraft has sourced the highest quality and purest essential oil producer for their plants and it has been tested to the highest industry standards.

We carry three essential oils – they all have distinctly beautiful smells but they share the benefits of being decongesting, invigorating, and invoking the calm of being in the Boreal forest. If you’re missing lake season, this is an easy to travel to the cottage…!

Black Spruce is known for its stimulating, invigorating, and fatigue alleviating effects. Spruce oil is milder than other evergreen oils and can act as a pain reliever and decongestant. It also clarifies the lungs and eases tension in the body.

Balsam Fir is known as a powerful antidepressant and time-tested stimulant that lifts the spirits and clears the sinuses. This is also a clarifying and soothing decongestant.

Jack Pine is known to allow deeper breathing, reduced inflammation and associated redness, protect against sinus infections, clear mucus and phlegm, and fight fungal and viral infections.

You can use essential oils in an infinite amount of ways. Check out this website for some ideas and ways to experiment! If you have any questions or concerns about your personal use of essential oils, be sure to speak with your physician first.

Stay tuned for next month’s blog where we’ll be sharing the new teas on the bar and the beautiful products we’ve brought in especially for the holiday gift-giving season!
